Sheryl supports cancer charity - 2007-10-04
In resonance with the breast cancer she battled last year, Sheryl Crow will support a charity shoe sale to help other people affected by the disease. The singer asks fans to tune into a TV shoe sale on shopping channel QVC, which will serve for cancer research charities, in a series of new print ads. The Ffany Shoes on Sale event is due for October 17.

Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne and Fiona Apple are organizing the first Girlfrenzy festival. The all-day invitation is set for October 27 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif. Other stars that will appear in the festival are Colbie Caillat, Sara Bareilles, and Antigone rising. More artist will be announced in the next weeks by Promoters Right Arm Entertainment and Live Nation. A determined proportion of the show’s earnings will be for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

SHERYL CROW BIOGRAPHY |

Singer, pianist and guitarist, born Sheryl Suzanne Crow, on
February 11, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri, to Wendell and Bernice
Crow. She has two older sisters, Kathy and Karen, and one
younger brother, Steve. Crow began playing piano at age six. She
graduated from Kennett High School in 1980 and the University of
Missouri at Columbia in 1984, where she majored in music
education. During college, she spent her weekends performing
with a local band, Cashmere.
